Naps index

Racing Post publishes sixty tipsters' naps each morning. Any horse napped twice or more becomes a selection; an index built from how many tipsters agree, how big the field is and what price is on offer decides whether it gets backed. Twelve variants of that index run side by side on £1,000 of pretend money each, so the arithmetic is settled by results rather than argument.
